SAN FRANCISCO SKETCH FEST

Listen up to our first juicy piece of news! BriTANicK was recently selected to perform as part of SF Sketchfest 2008, the San Francisco Sketch Comedy Festival! SF Sketchfest is an annual sketch comedy festival that was started in 2001. It will run from January 10 through January 27 and we will let you know exactly which days we will be performing as soon as they tell us. Check out their website here.

Funny story about how we got accepted. We waited until literally the last minute to send in our demo DVD. We arrived at the 24 hour post office at 11:30pm on November 15, the last day on which our submission could be postmarked. It turns out that November 15 is also some sort of tax deadline and the post office was filled to the friggin’ brim with the world’s procrastinators (all of whom look somewhat similar to Brian). We were about to give up and go home when a nice elderly lady informed us that because it is a tax deadline the post office does a really cool thing and fudges the details. They stamp most people’s packages with an 11:59pm postmark until about 3am. After a few hours of waiting we finally received that sweet sweet November 15th postmark and left post office triumphant and exhausted. A message for the West Coast: It came close to not happening, but it’ll take more than a post office full of crazies and a midnight deadline to sink the BriTANicK ship. Hold on to your Mankerthon!!!
